Rupert has performed extensively as a pianist in venues including London's Cadogan Hall and St-Martin-in-the-Fields, the Salle Gaveau Paris, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Sursock Palace in Beirut, and the Cherementiev Palace in St. Petersburg.

He won won first prize and audience award at the prestigious International Concours des Grand Amateurs in Paris in 2009 leading to a number of engagements across France including two performances of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 with L'Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine. His performance of Balakirev's Islamey was broadcast on France 2 and Radio Classique. In 2013 he won a first prize in the Bradshaw & Buono Piano Competition leading to a performance in New York's Carnegie Hall.

Concerto appearances have included Beethoven 5, Grieg, Rachmaninov 2nd and 3rd concertos, Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini, Ravel in G major, Shostakovich 1st and Chopin No1. in E minor.
